What beginners need to look for in Photoshop training

Monday, December 12th, 2011

Photoshop training is a great bargain for all types of users-whether you’re an experienced Photoshop user or a true beginner, Photoshop training can add tremendous power and value to all your professional and personal projects. Photoshop training gives beginners the strong foundational knowledge they need to create dazzling results right away. The great thing about a good Photoshop training course is that the more you learn, the more you’ll want to go on learning.

If you’re a professional photographer or graphic artist with no Photoshop experience, be sure to sign up for a Photoshop training course today. You won’t believe what you’ve been missing by not putting the power of Photoshop to work for you. Professionals from all fields are using Photoshop CS2 to take their work and careers to a higher level. From scientists and dentists to archaeologists and Biblical scholars, professionals all over the world are using Photoshop to do things that their predecessors would have thought impossible.

Don’t make the mistake of thinking that Photoshop training is only for professional photographers and graphic designers. And don’t make the mistake of thinking that Photoshop has lots of functions that you’ll never need to use. Experience has taught me that as soon as I learn how to use a new function, my new skill adds power and value to practically everything I do on my computer. If you’re a novice, here are some of the things you should look for in a good introductory Photoshop training course:

* How to get around the work area: A Photoshop training course will teach you how to work with the file browser, how to create and save new documents, how to use different file formats, and how to work with Photoshop files. The course should teach you how to import and scan images, as well as how to get started with basic keyboard shortcuts.

It’s really a good idea to probe a little deeper into the subject of Photoshop Training. What you learn may give you the confidence you need to venture into new areas.

* How to work with tools and images: You need to learn the tool bar, what the individual tools can do, how to work with palettes and resolution, how to align images, and how to create and use thumbnails.

* How to work with color: A good Photoshop training course will teach you all about the use of color for graphic design. To get the most out of your choice of color, you’ll need to learn how to use the color picker, the color palettes, the eyedropper, and the navigator palettes.

* How to work with selections: Photoshop training will quickly give you the ability to use all the selection tools. You’ll learn how to transform selections and content, and how to use quick masks.

* How to use layers and basic retouching: An introductory Photoshop training course will show you how to create and work with layers, how to blend layers, how to transform your images and artwork with layer styles, how to work with the history palette, and how to do basic retouching of your digital images.

How Photoshop training can help you achieve your career goals

Adobe Photoshop is the leading software for image compositing and editing in every professional field where images are designed. Adobe Photoshop has revolutionized the design potential of graphic artists, engineers, and architects across the planet. As Lachmi Khemlani said in AECbytes, “I haven’t come across a single architectural practice in the U.S. that doesn’t use Adobe Photoshop … Photoshop literally rules the roost when it comes to image editing and compositing in architectural firms.” Sign up for Photoshop training today and find out how the power of Photoshop can help you achieve your full potential.

The Photoshop interface hasn’t changed a great deal since the earliest versions, so users can easily upgrade to Photoshop CS2 from any previous version. Photoshop CS2 has powerful new features that will aid designers in all fields. You can literally use Photoshop CS2 to create any visual effect that you can image-if you can dream it, you can create it with Photoshop. Like previous versions of Photoshop, CS2 is available for both Macintosh and Windows. And the best thing about the new version is the price: Photoshop CS2 costs less than previous versions of Photoshop.

New features in Photoshop CS2 make it easier to composite images in multiple layers. In earlier versions it was necessary to select a required layer in the Layers palette. But now it’s possible to select multiple layers by using a marquee tool. The Show Transform Controls feature allows objects to be reshaped faster than ever before, and it works across multiple layers. Smart Guides is another innovation that makes it easier to align objects, even if they’re on different layers.

Now that we’ve covered those aspects of Photoshop Training, let’s turn to some of the other factors that need to be considered.

What Photoshop training can do for you
Photoshop is the industry leader for professional image creation, compositing, and editing. The first time you sit down to check out Photoshop, you’re amazed by how much it can do. Photoshop CS2 has tools and filters that let you create any kind of visual effect imaginable. Adobe Photoshop lets you create everything from simple effects for your own line of greeting cards to breathtaking effects for a feature-length film.

Film and video professionals make Photoshop training part of their ongoing preparation. Photoshop is the film and video industry standard for design, creation, and editing of digital images. Adobe Photoshop is the No. 1 tool for image editing, storyboarding, frame editing, compositing, painting, title design, and still photography imaging. As filmmaker Scott Billups said, “Photoshop is the single most commonly used application in motion picture and high-end TV production. Everybody uses it, whether they’re in pre-visualization, production, post-production, or distribution.”

Photoshop CS2 makes it easier than ever to integrate film images with computer-generated images and still photographs. If you work in the film or video industry, you already rely on Photoshop CS2 in all stages of the production process. And if you’re considering a career as a graphic designer or visual effects artist, Photoshop training is one of the best ways to achieve your career goals.

What’s new in Photoshop training

Monday, December 5th, 2011

In today’s world, it seems that almost any topic is open for debate. While I was gathering facts for this article, I was quite surprised to find some of the issues I thought were settled are actually still being openly discussed.

How Photoshop training can change the way you see the world

Monday, November 28th, 2011

Current info about Photoshop Training is not always the easiest thing to locate. Fortunately, this report includes the latest Photoshop Training info available.

The first time I got a taste of Photoshop training, I was producing an animated film for an independent production studio in Merida, Mexico. That was in 1995. We were using Adobe Photoshop 3.0 on Mac computers-state of the art. I was amazed by what graphic designers and digital editors were doing with Photoshop 3. Working with those people changed the way I saw the world.

I’m not a graphic designer or a visual effects editor. I was in awe of what Photoshop artists were doing with Photoshop 3.0 back in 1995, and I’m equally in awe of what artists are doing today with Photoshop CS2.

I was not a visually oriented person when I saw Photoshop in use the first time. I thought I was, but I wasn’t-not when I compared myself to the people who were doing such amazing things with Photoshop. I was managing, organizing, planning, attacking logistical problems, taking care of the business end, writing and editing a lot of text in English and Spanish. We were working long days and at times longer nights. I was inspired by what the Photoshop editors were doing. We were using Adobe Photoshop to color and composite animation frames, as Disney did in its animated version of Beauty and the Beast two years earlier.

You can see that there’s practical value in learning more about Photoshop Training. Can you think of ways to apply what’s been covered so far?

I sat next to the Photoshop artists whenever I had a chance. Watching them at work gave me a much deeper understanding of how to use color and how to balance elements in a composition. This inspired me to become bolder and more artistic in my use of graphic images to add value to my text jobs and presentations. I wasn’t doing them with Photoshop, but I was getting more out of all my familiar programs by what I had learned about design, color, and composition from the Photoshop artists I had been working with.

Watching Photoshop artists and digital editors changed the way I saw the world; I was becoming a more visually oriented person. And it seeped into everything I did-even the way I laid out text on a page. I developed a much keener sense of how to compose text as I became more aware of the elements of graphic composition. One area made me stronger in the other.

Whether you’re a novice or an experienced Photoshop user, there’s a level of Photoshop training that’s right for you. If you’re just getting started, an introductory Photoshop training course will give you the fundamental skills you need to get the most out of your photos and videos.

I may never master Photoshop the way those graphic artists and digital editors had mastered Photoshop 3 back in 1995. When you sign up for Photoshop training today, you’ll be on your way to mastering Photoshop CS2. Even if you’re still a novice like me, Photoshop training will add tremendous value to your life-it might even change the way you see the world.

Now might be a good time to write down the main points covered above. The act of putting it down on paper will help you remember what’s important about Photoshop Training.

How Photoshop training empowers Biblical scholars

Saturday, November 19th, 2011

The only way to keep up with the latest about Photoshop Training is to constantly stay on the lookout for new information. If you read everything you find about Photoshop Training, it won’t take long for you to become an influential authority.

Biblical scholars at the University of Southern California have been putting their Photoshop training to a surprising use-Photoshop is helping them analyze the Dead Sea Scrolls. The director of USC’s West Semitic Research Project (WSRP), Dr. Bruce Zuckerman, has said that Adobe Photoshop CS2 “is pivotal to our ability to unlock the history of the ancient past.”

This is not the first time that archaeologists have used their Photoshop training to combine fragments of ancient documents that are kept in museums and libraries in different parts of the world. Photoshop CS2 allows scholars and archaeologists to put these fragments together in the form of digital jigsaw puzzles, allowing researchers to study whole parchments or scrolls of papyrus for the first time.

Some of the original inscriptions are too small to be seen at all. Using Photoshop CS2, archaeologists are able to build larger composite images out of the smaller original images. And much original writing is impossible to see today because the ink has faded or the material on which it is written has become too dark. By using ultraviolet and infrared imaging techniques, researchers are able to recover the ink traces and read the original document.

Sometimes the most important aspects of a subject are not immediately obvious. Keep reading to get the complete picture.

As soon as Zuckerman’s team has a good photo of an ancient document, they scan it and digitally enhance it with Photoshop CS2. Think of the unlimited possibilities; once the image is digitalized and enhanced, it can be freely distributed and shared online with researchers and scholars around the world. It’s stunning to think what that means for the whole profession-there isn’t an archaeologist or Biblical scholar in the world today who doesn’t need advanced Photoshop training to reach their full potential.

The West Semitic Research Project at USC has published online tutorials for using Photoshop CS2 as a tool for scholarly research. This is a fascinating web page that introduces scholars to all the Photoshop fundamentals: how to use tools, how to reduce and enlarge images on screen, how to draw inscriptions with paths, how to paint paths, how to copy paths, and how to copy drawings.

Thanks to Adobe Photoshop CS2, archaeologists can now decipher documents that no one has been able to read for many hundreds of years. Even writings and inscriptions thought to have been deciphered and interpreted long ago are open for new investigation-scholars may start finding errors made in the original research by people working with hard-to-see inscriptions.

It is breathtaking to think about what this means-a single letter can change the way we view history. When I first started playing around with Photoshop in the early 1990s, I never would have thought that I had a tool in my hands that might one day change the way people understand themselves. What an exciting time to be alive-and Photoshop training makes it even more exciting. Sign up for Photoshop training today. No matter what field you’re in, Photoshop training is one of the best investments you’ll ever make.

How Photoshop training empowers people

Tuesday, November 15th, 2011

Everyone who works with images needs Photoshop training to get the most out of their photos and videos. If you’re a photographer, designer, or you work with any type of images at all, it’s time you found out how Photoshop training empowers both novices and professionals to achieve their full potential.

I’m a dedicated lifelong learner, but one of the gaps in my learning over the past ten years is in Photoshop. I’ve made a commitment to sign up for Photoshop training to get the most out of my web site and online graphics work. I’m not a design professional, but I have an urgent need to know how to do more with my photos and videos on the Internet.

I think that describes a lot of people today, no matter what field they work in. Sure, I could outsource the jobs-or choose not to do them at all. But here’s the real reason why I’m sold on Photoshop: Photoshop training stretches my creativity. It adds value to every area of my professional and personal life by lighting the creative flame that burns inside me. Photoshop training is one of the most professionally and personally rewarding investments you can make in yourself.

It’s really a good idea to probe a little deeper into the subject of Photoshop Training. What you learn may give you the confidence you need to venture into new areas.

Read testimonials of people who have benefited from a Photoshop training course. When you do this, you’ll understand what I’m talking about. You’ll find testimonials from retired people who wanted a stimulating and challenging hobby to help them stay busy. I read a testimonial on one site from a retired man so excited about using his new Photoshop skills to restore photographs that he’s planning to make a business out of it. Another man wrote that Photoshop training is increasing his skills so fast that he is already teaching new tricks to colleagues who are experienced Photoshop users.

Satisfied user after satisfied user: They all have the experience, and all of them are glad they signed up for Photoshop training. One of the testimonials captured the experience of all frustrated Photoshop novices who wake up one day with the solution right in front of their eyes-a Photoshop training course on their computer screen. This satisfied Photoshop learner remarked about the training course: “Why can’t I think of the solutions by myself?” That’s the way it is with all great teaching-the answers seem so simple when someone is there to give them to us.

Many Photoshop owners use the software for over a year without learning how to use most of the tools. As soon as they sign up for a Photoshop training course, they start seeing the difference in what they’re able to do. And they suddenly appreciate the full power of the investment they made in the Photoshop software, too-when you start learning how to get the most out of Photoshop, it can be worth its weight in gold. But you’ll never know until you sign up for Photoshop training.

Many Photoshop users spend a long time trying to do things the hard way. Make a commitment today to invest time and money in a Photoshop training course and discover the simple solutions you haven’t been able to think of by yourself.

Is there really any information about Photoshop Training that is nonessential? We all see things from different angles, so something relatively insignificant to one may be crucial to another.

How to reach your potential with Photoshop training

Monday, November 14th, 2011

What does Photoshop mean to you? If you think Photoshop is just a tool for serious photographers and graphic designers, you’ll be surprised to find out that professionals from dentists to archaeologists are using Photoshop CS2 to take their work to the next level. If you’ve never had to opportunity to see the full range of what Adobe Photoshop can do, or if you’ve only dabbled in Photoshop to crop and retouch your digital photos, you need to take a closer look at how Photoshop training can unleash the full power of your creativity.

Photoshop is not a toy, even though I’ve seen young children learn how to do a lot of cool things with digital images by just playing around with Photoshop. And even if you’re a total novice, dabbling in Photoshop can help you create better graphic images and improve the quality of your presentations. But to get the maximum benefits of Photoshop, you really need to sign up for Photoshop training. People who learn on their own sometimes discover the best way to do things, but usually they discover the wrong way to do things, which causes recurring frustration and limits their ability to go on learning new things. The time and money you invest today in your Photoshop training will reward you in ways that you can’t even begin to imagine.

If you try to learn Photoshop yourself, a trial and error method of learning will allow you to become pretty good at a few fundamental techniques. But you’ll never begin to imagine the unlimited potential of Photoshop CS2 until you sign up for Photoshop training. If you deal with images or graphics of any type in your work or in your favorite hobby, Photoshop training can help you reach your full potential.

If you find yourself confused by what you’ve read to this point, don’t despair. Everything should be crystal clear by the time you finish.

You don’t need to study Photoshop for years before you can start producing results that add value to your professional and personal projects. Photoshop training can take your job skills to the next level in just a few weeks. You may be wondering if Photoshop training is worth the time and effort. That’s an important question to ask: You shouldn’t sign up for Photoshop training unless you’re willing to make a serious commitment to practice the techniques you learn. You’ll only get out of your Photoshop training what you put into it. But the rewards are worth every minute and every dollar you invest.

When you begin to master the Photoshop fundamentals, you’ll soon have the confidence to take on new projects and editing jobs. I know from my own experience that no matter what you use Photoshop for, when you learn how to create and edit professional-quality digital images you feel a degree of professional and personal fulfillment that you have rarely felt before. Make a commitment to sign up for Photoshop training today and start putting the power of the world’s leading digital imaging software to work for you. You’ll be glad you did.

Take time to consider the points presented above. What you learn may help you overcome your hesitation to take action.

Why you need Photoshop training – no matter what

Monday, November 7th, 2011

There is only one word to describe Adobe Photoshop-amazing. That is exactly the word I used the first time I saw graphic artists use Photoshop to edit and composite digital images for a feature-length animated film in 1995. I said it was amazing then, and it’s even more amazing today.

If you’re a student with a few elective credit hours to fill, enroll in Photoshop training at your school as soon as you can. It doesn’t matter if you’re not planning to pursue a career as a graphic designer. All professionals today, no matter what field they specialize in, can add tremendous power and value to their work by learning the fundamentals of image editing and compositing with Adobe Photoshop software.

You may be thinking to yourself, “I want to be a dentist-why should I go to the trouble of taking a Photoshop training course?” I’ll tell you why: Do an Internet search for “Photoshop” + “dentists.” That’s what I just did and I got over 100,000 hits telling me why dentists love Photoshop. No matter what field you’re working in or what career path you plan to pursue, there is a very high probability that Photoshop training will help you rise to the top of your profession in a way that no other software application can.

Sometimes the most important aspects of a subject are not immediately obvious. Keep reading to get the complete picture.

I encourage you to do an Internet search for your specific career field, hobby, or area of interest. Are you an aspiring archaeologist? Thirty-five thousand hits. One site I visited is dedicated to assisting archaeologists in Central America and Mexico. They ask visitors to participate by donating computer equipment, software, cameras, and books on Meso-American archaeology. What software can they use? “Major software,” they say, “especially Adobe Photoshop.”
I don’t mean to belabor the point, but this is turning out to be fun. Let me challenge you just one last time. Think of the least plausible connection that comes to mind. What profession would you not expect to find many hits for if you typed it next to “Photoshop” in a search engine? Think of one profession on the planet in which practitioners have no practical application for Photoshop software. No need for Photoshop training. No reason to sign up for Photoshop training. I’m waiting for your answer… still waiting.

Could the answer be “hairdresser”? Not by a long shot-34,000 hits. I clicked on one of them. It turned out to be a customer review of Photoshop 6 written by a hairdresser in San Francisco. The hairdresser wrote that she was “thrilled with Photoshop 6.” And although I didn’t read far enough into the article to find out how she uses Photoshop in her particular profession, it doesn’t matter very much for my present purposes. Anyone who wants to establish an Internet presence for her business can build a more professional web site by learning Photoshop. Now that covers every career field.

Sign up today for Photoshop training. No matter what career field you’re in, Photoshop training can help you be all that you can be.

Why I love online Photoshop training

Monday, November 7th, 2011

When you think about Photoshop Training, what do you think of first? Which aspects of Photoshop Training are important, which are essential, and which ones can you take or leave? You be the judge.

Let’s be honest: You’re not going to learn Photoshop by playing around with it on your own for a couple of days-or years. Photoshop is known as a deep program: You can do so many things with Photoshop that your knowledge and skills can be channeled into a career. Photoshop is a challenging program-unless you take advantage of Photoshop training, you’ll never be able to reach your full potential as a Photoshop user.

If you become serious about using Photoshop as a tool for advancing your career, then you will go on learning how to do new things with Photoshop as long as Photoshop software is on the market. But the great thing about Photoshop training is that it can get you started in just a couple of hours. One of the first things that Photoshop training can teach you is how to edit photos and upload them to a web site.

Most of us have had our share of users’ manuals and how-to books. They usually pack much more information than we need in the beginning, and often their sheer volume is discouraging. How will I ever get through all that? It takes the joy and spontaneity out of the learning process in a hurry.

It’s really a good idea to probe a little deeper into the subject of Photoshop Training. What you learn may give you the confidence you need to venture into new areas.

Online tutorials and Photoshop training courses are a much more effective medium for learning the techniques and skills you need in order to get the most our of your Photoshop software. The wonderful thing about online training is that videos show you how to do everything step by step, click by click. It’s much easier to follow and grasp an instructor who is talking to us in a normal conversational tone than it is to follow instruction manuals that are often boring and hard to follow. Even Photoshop training based on message boards and question and answer threads is a huge improvement over traditional text books and manuals.

Text books and manuals are most effective when used as reference books. When I run into a specific problem, the manual can help me troubleshoot and fix the problem in a hurry, simply because it covers so much in one place. But when it comes to a task like getting started with Photoshop, I always learn faster and stay more motivated by breaking down the learning process into manageable segments. This is what good online Photoshop training does best-it takes you one step at a time, focusing on one skill until you’ve got it down before moving onto the next skill.

It has never been easier to learn Photoshop. When I first started playing around with Photoshop over ten years ago, I was frequently discouraged when I didn’t know how to do things. If online Photoshop training had been available at that time, I’m sure I would be a much more advanced Photoshop user today. Sign up for a Photoshop training course today and discover how the world’s No. 1 digital editing and compositing software can help you achieve your full potential.

I hope that reading the above information was both enjoyable and educational for you. Your learning process should be ongoing–the more you understand about any subject, the more you will be able to share with others.
